Communal courtyard · refurbishment concept
A conceptual proposal for restoring materials, light and meeting spaces in a communal courtyard. Design reference, not completed work.
Restoring a space we share
This concept explores restoring a communal courtyard as a space for arriving, passing through and meeting. It is a visual design reference, not a completed project or a construction quote.
Restoring without erasing the building’s character
The proposal combines the existing stone with light finishes, restrained planting and discreet lighting. Before defining materials, the condition of the substrates, any damp and the compatibility of each solution would need checking.
A shared space requires shared decisions
In real work, entrance routes, shared services and walkways shape the project. The level changes and stairs in this reference don’t represent a resolved accessibility solution: adapting them would need a specific study.
From concept to feasible work
A visit, the available documentation and the community’s needs allow the scope, phases and budget to be defined. Access during the work and coordination with residents must be defined before starting.
