Pool construction in Mallorca

For swimming, getting together or switching off. We design and build bespoke pools, thinking about bathing, your home and the space you want to enjoy around it.

Form follows the way you live

Designed for swimming.
And for everything around it.

  • The dimensions you needRelate length, width and depth to use, without taking over the whole plot.
  • A connected outdoor spaceMake room for paths, shade, terrace and access, as well as the water itself.
  • Decisions that fit togetherCoordinate structure, finish, water circulation and equipment from the design stage.
Architecture to imagine

Water changes
the way you spend time outdoors.

A pool tucked into a patio and another linked to the house. Two references to explore the proportion of water and its relationship with the surrounding spaces.

Design references, not works carried out by Tramuntana.

Bespoke concrete pools

Four decisions.
One complete pool.

The colour of the water is only one part. In a built-in pool, the structure, finish, water treatment and surroundings do different jobs. They’re best decided together, without confusing them.

01 · What holds it upThe shell and its construction
Shape, ground and structural solution are studied before building. Excavation, machinery access and the location of the plant room shape the work, not just its dimensions.
02 · What you see and touchFinish and coping
The interior finish affects the look of the water and how it feels. The edge and outdoor paving should also be chosen for wet use, exposure and cleaning.
03 · How the water worksCirculation, filtration and treatment
Skimmer or overflow collection, filtration and disinfection are different decisions. Salt chlorination is a treatment system, not a type of structure or a maintenance-free pool.
04 · The space around itTerrace, access and equipment
Allowing for paths, a seating area and access to the equipment prevents the pool being designed in isolation. Lighting, a cover or water heating are assessed if you need them and according to the agreed scope.

We build pools in Palma and across Mallorca. The proposal adapts to your plot and how you want to use your outdoor space.

A first guide

How much does it cost to build
a pool in Mallorca?

Depth, ground, access and equipment can change the amount. As a reference to place the investment:

8 × 4 m built-in pool€18,000–30,000

Market reference, not a final quote. It doesn’t confirm that VAT, documentation, fees or outdoor works are included: the quote for your project should detail them.

What should be
in writing.

The core of the work
Excavation and soil removal, shell, waterproofing, finish and filtration equipment: check what each item covers.
Configuration and extras
Edge, paving, lighting, cover, water treatment and other equipment, depending on what you want to include.
The amount for your project
Breakdown of VAT, technical documentation, paperwork, fees and outdoor works, without assuming anything not explicitly listed is included.
Put dimensions to your idea

More water doesn’t always
mean a better pool.

Try proportions and see the space taken up by the water and the surrounding strip you choose. A first reference for talking about your pool with clear dimensions.

For a first enquiry, note the length and width of water you have in mind and the space you want to leave around it. If the depth varies, the volume is estimated with an average depth. These dimensions don’t determine what can be built on the plot.

What you decide in time
you enjoy later.

The pool is planned as a complete project: from site access for building it to checking the equipment and its later use.

  1. 01

    Position the pool

Listen to how you’ll use it, review location, access and available space. Identify the necessary preliminary checks.

  2. 02

    Define the proposal

Define dimensions, structure, finishes, equipment and outdoor areas. Agree line items, responsibilities and documentation.

  3. 03

    Build in phases

Coordinate ground preparation, shell, equipment and finishes. Review the junctions between the water and its surroundings.

  4. 04

    Check and hand over

Review the work and commission the contracted equipment. Explain how it works and how to care for it.

Before deciding

Questions about your future pool.

Can a pool be built on a small plot?

A compact pool can be studied, but it isn’t enough for the rectangle to fit. Access and plant space need allowing for, the use of the outdoor area considered and the conditions of the plot reviewed. The proportion of water to terrace matters as much as size.

What permits do I need to build it?

The regulations for your plot need reviewing, technical documentation preparing and the relevant permit or authorisation applying for before work starts. The municipality sets the applicable conditions and fees. Size alone doesn’t confirm that it can be built.

Is a salt chlorination pool better?

There’s no single best solution for everyone. It’s worth comparing what tasks the equipment automates, what checks and consumables it needs and the cost of its components and spare parts. The choice should fit with the rest of the installation and with how your pool will be used and looked after.

How long does it take to build a pool?

The schedule depends on access, ground, the construction solution and how well finishes and equipment are defined. The relevant paperwork must be resolved before setting a start date. With that information we can plan the phases of your project.

Can you coordinate it with a new house or its terrace?

Yes. We can study the whole or a phased build. It’s worth planning access, connections and levels from the start so the pool, house and outdoor areas fit together, even if they aren’t built at the same time.
