This conceptual reference explores the junction between a paved terrace and the entrance to the home. The image is for talking about finish, continuity and water drainage; it doesn’t demonstrate a completed construction solution or a watertightness test.
In a real property, the substrate, the levels available at the door, the fall, the drains and the condition of the hidden layers would need checking. A visible channel doesn’t replace the waterproofing system or, on its own, solve a leak.
The proposal should define what is kept, what is lifted and how the surface, junctions and drainage connect. If renewing the paving is planned, the final finish is coordinated with the use of the terrace and the conditions at the entrance.
