Renovation conceptPool renovation and refurbishment in Mallorca
We renovate existing pools and their surroundings: the shell, finishes, coping and outdoor paving. We start from their condition and what you want to change to define coherent work from start to finish.

Keep what works. Renew what you need.
A worn finish, a damaged edge or a terrace that’s no longer comfortable can be the starting point. Renovation lets you think about the pool and the space around it as a whole.
We review the substrate and junctions before deciding on finishes. We define what is kept, what is removed and which work needs doing together.
Explore terrace and outdoor renovationsFrom inside the shell to the edge of the terrace.
The work can focus on one part of the pool or combine its renewal with outdoor work. The scope is defined after the visit and based on your priorities.
- 01 · The baseShell and existing substrate
- Review of the visible condition, deteriorated areas and junctions. Definition of the repairs and preparation needed before renewing the finish. If the pool is losing water or has cracks, the cause must be clarified before choosing the solution.
- 02 · The interiorWaterproofing and finishes
- Renewal of the interior surfaces with a solution compatible with the substrate and the use of the pool. Waterproofing, junctions and finish are assessed as parts of the same work.
- 03 · The junctionCoping and access
- Renewal of the edge, its pieces and its junctions with the outdoor area. We review levels, trims and any access you want to change, defining their relationship with the shell and paving.
- 04 · The outdoorsPaving and seating areas
- Renovation of the terrace, paths and surfaces near the pool. We coordinate materials, falls and junctions so the bathing area becomes part of the whole outdoor space.
How much surface needs renewing?
Length and width don’t tell the whole story: the walls are part of the interior too. Estimate the surfaces of a rectangular pool and gather what you want to change into a summary for your enquiry.
Note the municipality, what you want to renew and the measurements you know. For a rectangular pool, the interior includes the floor and the four walls; the edge and terrace are measured separately. If you don’t have measurements, you can start with photos and a description.

You can prepare the summary without measurements. If you know them, add length, width and heights to estimate the surfaces.
Your first measurement
- Interior: floor + walls
- To be measured
- Floor
- To be measured
- Walls
- To be measured
- Internal perimeter
- To be measured
- Coping: horizontal strip
- To be measured
Geometric estimate excluding steps, benches, curves, overflow channels, recesses and material waste. It isn’t a site measurement or a quantity for buying finishes.
When you continue, the summary is kept temporarily in this tab so you can review it in Contact. It isn’t sent automatically.
What the tool calculates and with which formulas
For a rectangular pool with internal length L, width A and wall height h, with a flat floor and vertical walls: floor = L × A; walls = 2 × (L + A) × h; interior = floor + walls. Internal perimeter = 2 × (L + A).
If the floor has a uniform slope along L, with heights h₁ and h₂ at each end: floor = A × √[L² + (h₂ − h₁)²]; walls = (L + A) × (h₁ + h₂). A horizontal edge and vertical walls are assumed.
For a rectangular coping of uniform width c: strip = (L + 2c) × (A + 2c) − L × A. This is its horizontal projection; edges and trims are measured separately. Results are rounded to two decimals, with no material allowance added.
An empty measurement stays pending; it’s never turned into zero. Shapes or floors that don’t meet these conditions need a specific measurement. The condition of the pool, the construction solution or the quote are not inferred from these areas.
First, get to know it. Then, transform it.
We relate the pool’s condition to the changes you’re looking for. That way we can define the line items and organise the work without deciding finishes in isolation.
- 01
Review
Take measurements, look at the shell and the outdoor area and understand the access. Identify what needs an additional check.
- 02
Define
Agree what is kept and what is renewed, choose the solution and define materials, work and necessary documentation.
- 03
Coordinate
Organise removals, preparation, repairs and finishes, together with the outdoor work included in the engagement.
- 04
Review and hand over
Check the agreed work and its trims. Explain the initial care and conditions of use of the installed finishes.
Measurements help. Condition counts too.
The cost of refurbishing a pool depends on the area, what needs removing and repairing and the chosen finishes. The edge, terrace and access can add work that’s worth identifying from the start.
Ask about my renovation- Preparation and repairs
- Removal of the existing finish, waste management, substrate and junctions to be resolved.
- Solution and materials
- Waterproofing, finish, coping pieces and trims, with their areas and specifications.
- The full scope
- Outdoor work, access, possible impact on equipment and documentation, specifying what is included and what is pending.
Questions about renovating your pool.
Can I renew the finish without redoing the whole pool?
It may be possible if the substrate and existing solution allow that work. First its condition is reviewed and the necessary preparation defined. The choice of finish must take junctions and waterproofing into account.
What if the pool is losing water or has cracks?
That’s important information for the initial review. A photo or a measurement doesn’t determine the cause. Before proposing a finish renovation, the source and the necessary checks must be clarified, and what repair can be part of the work defined.
Can you also renovate the edge and the terrace?
Yes. The renovation can include coping, paving and outdoor areas. Planning them together with the pool lets levels, materials and junctions be coordinated. The quote should identify the areas and line items for each part.
Does the tool calculate the price of the refurbishment?
No. It calculates geometric areas and prepares a summary of your needs. The condition of the substrate, repairs, materials and site conditions are assessed afterwards. You can use it even if you don’t have the measurements yet.
How long will the pool be out of use?
It depends on the scope, substrate preparation, materials and site conditions. The schedule must allow for both the work and any waiting times the chosen solution requires before it can be used again.
What information helps for the first enquiry?
The municipality, general photos and photos of the areas you want to change, the measurements you know and a description of your priorities. If you have plans or information from a previous renovation, that can be useful too.
Tell us where it is and what you want to renew. Let’s start by getting to know the pool and shaping work that fits your outdoor space.
